Voice to MIDI: upload a melody recording and check the notes.
Save your voice or melody as an MP3 or WAV, upload that file, and download the MIDI notes produced by the browser converter. This page covers an uploaded recording workflow; it does not provide live microphone input or voice separation.
What this workflow supports
- Upload one MP3 or PCM WAV file.
- Keep the file at or below 20 MB and 2 minutes.
- Convert the decoded audio locally in the browser.
- Review the note count and pitch preview before downloading MIDI.
The converter is designed for a clear, isolated melody. A spoken recording, chords, background music, or noisy room can produce missing or extra notes. This page does not claim voice-separation accuracy.
Reproducible note test
The current detector was run on a generated monophonic WAV fixture rather than a human voice recording. The four-note input used MIDI pitches 60, 64, 67, and 72; the checked output contained 4 note events. A silent control produced 0 events. These are detector checks, not a human-vocal accuracy score.
| Input | Observed output | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Four-note melody WAV | 4 events: 60, 64, 67, 72 | WAV · MIDI |
| Silent WAV control | 0 events | WAV · MIDI |

Voice to MIDI questions
Can I use a phone voice recording?
Yes, if you save the recording as MP3 or WAV and upload that file; the converter does not record from the microphone on this page.
Will spoken words become a clean melody?
No guarantee is made. The detector is most interpretable on a clear single-note melody, so inspect the notes before using the MIDI.
What if the upload fails?
Use a standard MP3 or PCM WAV under 20 MB and 2 minutes. Other formats and oversized files are rejected by the current input.
Does the page separate vocals from music?
No. It converts the uploaded audio as one decoded signal and does not promise vocal stem separation.
